ServiceMaster Cleaning Solutions recognizes the importance of having a hiring procedure that identifies people who will work with in our system and towards meeting our core objectives. The first step in this procedure is the completion of a job application and I9 (Employment Eligibility Verification). The second step consists of a verbal interview between the Human Resource Manager and an Account Manager or Supervisor. The objective of the interview is to identify skill, character and experience traits that match with ServiceMaster systems and core objectives. The third step in the procedure is hands on training in our office. This step helps both the applicant and ServiceMaster determine if they, the applicant, are capable and interested in cleaning according to the ServiceMaster Cleaning Solutions system.

Supervisor Training

The second corporate objective of ServiceMaster Cleaning Solutions is to help people develop. The career path at ServiceMaster Cleaning Solutions is limited only by the individual's desire for personal growth. Most of our supervisors are promoted through the ranks of our organization. The ServiceMaster Cleaning Solutions supervisor has in-depth knowledge of ServiceMaster's systems, products and procedures. They have demonstrated willingness to help their fellow Service Partners and have communicated their desires to help people develop.

Supervisory training is ongoing through a Four Star Certification Program. An incentive program designed to motivate excellent performance and above standard results is in place for all supervisors.

The role of our supervisors is very important to quality control. We believe housekeepers and sanitizers will do what is expected when they are inspected on a regular basis. Our Team Members will be rewarded for excellent performance and will be held accountable for poor performance.

Project Technician and Housekeeper Training

Initial training including safety training, is performed with each employee so that they can operate effectively from day one.

On-going and developmental training is provided on an as needed basis, so that our employees can stay abreast of current developments in our field.

Most training is verifiable where the trainee is tested on the material taught. We believe that this is the only way to assure that the trainee understands important information such as safety and proper use of cleaning materials.

Four Star Certification

ServiceMaster Cleaning Solutions has pioneered the development of the Four Star Certification Program for our cleaning technicians. This has allowed us to maintain our prominent position in our Industry.
